Southern California Chapter of IDOS

presents our

 9th Annual BEACH BLAST DOG

 January 14, 2012
Camping - January 13-15, 2012

The Southern California Chapter of IDOS would like to invite you to join us for a great time at our 9th Annual Beach Blast DOG.  The Beach Blast DOG will be held in the GROUP campsite at Doheny State Beach.

Things to Know

Dessert Cook-off Information Packet

If you would like to tent camp IN the group campsite, reservations can be made with Julie Jordan @ girlscoutlvr@yahoo.com. It is $30 per night.  If we do not fill with tent campers, we have a waiting list for “day use parking” IN our group campsite @ $12 for the day.  You would pay this to the chapter instead of at the gate entrance.  Julie needs to know “in advance” who would like to do this.  The advantage is that unloading and cooking near your vehicle will be easier.

For those who are in the Doheny area, the chapter will host a Friday night Cracker Barrel.  Please join Chapter Director Julie Jordan and her husband Steve in the Group Campsite for hot cider and hot cocoa around the campfire.  Please bring a chair and a munchie to share. It may be cooked in the Dutch oven or store bought.  The Cracker Barrel will be held from 7:30 – 8:30 pm.

On Saturday we will host a DOG (Dutch Oven Gathering), a Dutch oven dessert cook off (with GREAT new prizes for the winners), an opportunity drawing for a MACA oven and end with our exciting (LOL) annual membership meeting.  We will top off the weekend on Sunday morning by hosting a breakfast DOG and then we will say our good-byes.

If you would like to camp in the campground the weekend of the Beach DOG, you can go to http:www.reserveameria.com to see if any campsites are still available.
