 7th Annual BEACH BLAST DOG

The Southern California Chapter of IDOS would like to invite you to join us for a great time at our 6th annual Beach Blast DOG. The Beach Blast DOG will be held at Doheny State Beach at picnic sites A and B.

For those who plan to camp, the chapter will host a Friday night Cracker Barrel. Please join Chapter Director Brenda Wildish at campsite 30 and 32 for hot cider and hot cocoa around a campfire.  Please bring a chair and a munchie to share.  It may be cooked in the Dutch oven or store bought.  The Cracker Barrel will be held from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

On Saturday we will hold Dutch oven cooking classes that will include: A basic class taught by none other than Cuzin Roy Powell and his sidekick Mike Walker. Then an extra treat, as we have Scott "Apron" Owens and Dave Prestage from Sequoia Dutch Ovens Chapter, IDOS. These two boys will be doing an EXOTIC  Cast Iron class   They will be showing us how to use the Aeblskiver (those funny little skillets with the small holes) and cast iron waffle irons to name a few.  We will also host a DOG (Dutch Oven Gathering), a Dutch oven dessert cook off, an opportunity drawing and an annual membership meeting. We will top off the weekend on Sunday morning by hosting a breakfast DOG (Dutch Oven Gathering) and then we will say Happy Trails to all until our next event.

If you would like to camp with us the weekend of the Beach DOG, we will camp in sites, 13, 14
(handicapped), 15, 16, 17(mobile/trailer), 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 39, 42 and 44 are for mobile/trailer homes. If these sites are full, then go to the next loop which begins with the number 1 and so on. You may go to the following link http://www.dohenystatebeach.com and click on Campsite layout.
