The 2008 Fall Convention will be here before we know it and the Southern California Chapter is busy making plans!   Fall convention will be held at Picnic sites A and B at Doheny State Beach, in the beautiful city of Dana Point California. 

The dates for Fall Convention begins Friday, October 17^th with a meet and greet DOG, Saturday October 18^th, the actual Fall Convention gathering and Sunday we will close out the weekend with a Breakfast DOG before we break camp and go home. 

If you will be camping, you may look the following link http://www.dohenystatebeach.org and click on a campsite layout.  Click on the site you would like to view and it will bring up photos of that campsite.  Please note that there are no hook ups at Doheny Beach, but there is a sewage dump station. 

You may go to http://www.reserveamerica.com/ and click on the site to see if it is available. You may make reservations on line or call: Reserve America at 1-800-444-Park (7275).  If reservations are full, don't give up!  Keep calling, as there are always cancellations or go to this link for additional campsites in the area click here.

For hotel reservations, please click here.  We have secured a special rate of $80.10 (excluding tax) at the Dana Point Marina Inn.  Please mention the International Dutch Oven Society to get the room discount.  This is for Friday and Saturday nights only.

The Southern California Chapter is looking for vendors for the 2008 Fall Convention.  Cost to set up a booth is $50.00.

If you have a novelty item you believe would go with Dutch oven cooking i.e. wooden spoons, knives, sauces, etc, and you would like to set up a booth, please contact Sherry Colvin at Sherry-l-c@cox.net .
